You'll find that most beads are measured in millimeters on the metric scale. It can be rather difficult figuring if you are making a piece measured in inches (The US uses the Imperial system or "inches") so we have given you a chart below that converts millimeters to inches. REMEMBER, most beads returned are not due to the quality of the bead, but most likely due to the misjudgment of size.

Caring For Your Beads

Cleaning Stone Beads-Most stone beads can be immersed in warm, soapy water and scrubbed gently with a soft bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly and let dry on a towel.

Pearls- Pearls are much softer than other gems and require a different cleaning method. Pearls should be wiped after being worn, with a soft cloth to remove perfumes, makeup, body oils, etc. ONLY use a mild soapy water to clean them as solvents can remove the delicate Nacre  (top layer).
